The Trumansburg Rotary Club held its sixth annual Rubber Duck Race on Saturday, May 9, in downtown Trumansburg between the Route 227 and Route 96 bridges.
At 1 p.m., hundreds of ducks were released into the creek and quickly carried downstream by the fast current, reaching the finish line near Creekside Café and Gimme! Coffee in near-record time. Although rain had fallen earlier in the day, it stopped before the race, allowing spectators to gather on the bridges and along the creek to watch the action.

Several lucky ticket holders took home cash prizes, with additional gift certificate prizes donated by Creekside Café and Gimme! Coffee.
Spectators also enjoyed a sing-along of duck-themed songs performed by the Ithaca UKEs.
Trumansburg Rotary thanks the community for its support through ticket purchases and attendance on race day. The club also extends special thanks to Ravi Meel and the staff at Trumansburg ShurSave for allowing ticket sales at the store entrance during the months leading up to the event.
It takes a community to make an event like this successful, and Trumansburg continues to show strong support for local traditions and organizations.
