Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is a Rotary International program designed to recognize and enhance leadership skills among selected young people. In CNY Rotary RYLA hosts a leadership seminar that focuses on teens who have just completed their junior year in high school.
The seminar is held every year at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, NY, and includes skilled presenters who offer the keys to refining a participants' skills and knowledge in the fields of leadership, decision-making, time management, ethics, goal-setting, responsibility, self-assurance, communication skills, service, and teamwork.

Rotary clubs throughout the district are responsible for selecting individual teen applicants. Prospective applicants are chosen based on their leadership potential and a willingness to serve others. A RYLA applicant must fill out and submit an application form, which is then reviewed by their supporting Rotary club. Once an applicant is selected, the club endorses them and pays tuition for that person to attend the RYLA seminar.

February 14, 2025 - Club Chairperson defined
February 21, 2025 - Club Decision on number of students to support
March 21, 2025 - Club completion of Student selection process
March 24, 2025 - Club payment of each RYLA Student selected is due
April 18, 2025 - RYLA Club Attendee Form submission
May 15, 2025 - All required paperwork is completed.
June 29,2025 - RYLA Conference Starts
