If you’ve ever wondered what the Paul Harris Society is all about, here’s the scoop (and no, it doesn’t involve secret handshakes or decoder rings).

The Paul Harris Society, named after Rotary’s founder, recognizes those who commit to giving $1,000 or more each year (about $84 per month) to The Rotary Foundation. That’s right, these generous Rotarians keep the good work rolling, year after year and help us fund our District Grants among other things.

How it works:

  • No dues, no meetings, no secret passwords. Just a promise to support Rotary’s work with an annual gift(s).
  • Members are recognized with a sharp-looking chevron pin, so you’ll know them when you see them.
  • That yearly $1,000 gift helps fund clean water projects, fight polio, support education, and provide healthcare, impacting lives around the world in a very real way.

Why it matters:

Think of it like a subscription, except instead of getting magazines or streaming shows, you’re helping Rotary deliver hope, health, and opportunity across the globe.

So, the next time someone mentions the Paul Harris Society, you’ll know it’s not just about recognition, it’s about making sure Rotary’s good work keeps moving forward, one (or a few) generous gift(s) at a time.
