Nimmonsburg-Hillcrest Rotary is sad to report the passing of member Robert Aagre. Bob joined Rotary in 2010 and many in the former District 7170 will remember him from the Burma School project.
Bob personally supported the school and village and solicited funds across the District for many years. Most recently, he organized the purchase of Historical trees, many planted locally with surrounding clubs also invited to participate. Bob will best be remembered as a world traveler and humanitarian. He passed away in Dubai, returning from Bali, on June 5, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18 at noon at the Port Dickinson Community Association on King Ave. in Port Dickinson where a tree is being planted in his honor. A luncheon will follow at the Port Dickinson Town Hall, Chenango St. in Binghamton.
