We are very sad to share the news of the passing of PDG Denise DiNoto, a member of Colonie-Guilderland Rotary who served as District Governor of the former D7190 in 2022-23. On Saturday, May 3 from 9-11 a.m. Glens Falls Rotary held its annual Kids' Fishing Derby and Casting Contest. This free event took place at Crandall Park Pond for kids ages three to 15. They only have to bring their own fishing pole and bait... the Club provides the fish! They work with the City of Glens Falls to bring this event to their area and they had their best turnout yet this year with 117 kids ages 3-15!

The CNY Rotary Global Grants Committee voted recently to support the Breath to Life project in Alanya, Antalya province, Turkey. Grant funds will be used to purchase three neonatal ventilators for use at Alanya State Hospital’s Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, serving infants who cannot provide adequate oxygenation on their own or who have multiple organ failure and are at high risk of mortality, requiring respiratory support.

Our 11th training visit to La Paz, Bolivia was full of excitement and the culmination of monumental milestones, moving this program closer to sustainability and Legacy status. Sunday, November 17, 2024, CNY Rotary will hold our first ever Legacy Brunch. Our goal is to raise one million dollars for the Rotary Foundation’s Endowment Fund. Some of you might remember it as the Permanent Fund, if you have been in Rotary as long as I have. The CNY Foundation Committee needs to find 100 people who will pledge or bequest $10,000, meaning that you will leave that money to Rotary in your will or estate.
