Call for CNY President Candidates

We are Seeking Candidates for 2027-28 CNY Rotary President
 

Dear CNY Rotary Members,

It is time once again for us to seek suggestions for a President of CNY Rotary. Could you be our leader for 2027-28?

A candidate may be suggested by his/her club, but that doesn't mean you have to wait to see if your club asks you!  If you are interested and qualified, you can approach your club's president to ask them to take your name to the board and help you complete the attached nomination form. 

To qualify, you will have to have been in Rotary for seven years by the time you take office on July 1, 2027. You also must have completed a year as a club president and be an active member in good standing. And you will want to be someone who thrives on meeting new people, enjoys sharing the inspiring word of Rotary, and likes traveling around our beautiful CNY region.

Preparation for becoming President of CNY Rotary will start as soon as the candidate is confirmed. The President Nominee Designate will join the leadership team and attend multiple training sessions provided (and paid for) by Rotary International. There will be plenty of time to ramp up your Rotary IQ, work with the CNY Rotary team and hone your leadership skills.

Details on the nominating process, including the nomination form and more details on the role are available below. We will also ask all candidates to submit a Rotary resume.

All club suggestions are due by Thursday, October 31, 2024. Submit your documents to nominations@cnyrotary.org.

Candidate interviews will be conducted in November via zoom.

Being a volunteer leader is a special role that requires a significant commitment, but is richly rewarding. Whether it is you who is up for the challenge, or you know someone else who would be a great fit, now is the time to act.

NOTE: You will see different terminology on the official nominating form, referring to the position as the "District Governor Nominee Designate." That is the term Rotary International uses, while we call it the President Nominee Designate locally.
