Preparing for Conference Weekend

We hope this page will get you informed on the resources available, places we'll be, and schedule of events so you know what you will need to enjoy your time at Conference!

FIRST, GET THE SCHED APP

All of our Conference activities and the full schedule is available in the Sched app, which you can download in your phone's app store. Set up an account and search CNY Conference 2026 to find our event to add to your schedule.

Select the breakout sessions you want to attend in the app to help our leaders plan ahead.
Note that the Positive Peace Conversations breakout spans both session I and II.

WHAT TO WEAR

We want everyone to be comfortable, so all events are Rotary casual, but we do have something special planned for Saturday dinner and hope everyone will wear red in honor of our End Polio Now efforts around the world.
Come in any style of dress, from pajamas to ball gowns.
Wear a little red, like your conference End Polio Now tee, or go totally red to toe!

PARKING DETAILS

The garage attached to the hotel is closed for repairs, so we are going to be in the one catty corner (southeast) to the hotel.
Put this address in your GPS:
155-141 Harrison Pl, Syracuse, NY 13202

Bring your garage ticket in with you for validation.

FRIDAY NIGHT DETAILS

Dine-Arounds

Watch for communications from your dinner host and plan to meet up in the hotel lobby at 5:30pm. We are on a tight schedule to get to dinner and back in time for the dessert reception at the hotel after, so please be on time meeting up with your group.
Most restaurants are a 10-minute walk away (or less). Street parking may be challenging on a Friday evening, but not impossible for those who need to drive. Your dinner host will help you with deciding what is best based on what you need to be comfortable.
Each member will pay for their own dinner.

Foundation Reception

Starting at 8pm, we will gather in the Persian Terrace, just off the main hotel lobby, for a dessert reception and champagne toast in honor of the amazing impact of our Rotary Foundation. We will also present some special awards and recognition. This elegant room will have a table full of desserts and a bar, with each guest getting one drink on the house and then cash bar after.

SATURDAY DETAILS

Registration will open in the entrance of the conference wing at 8am where attendees can pick up their name badge, program, goodie bag, and any swag they pre-ordered for pickup.
We ask that all are inside the Fingerlakes Ballroom by 10am so we can kick off Conference on time!
Throughout the day you will participate in general sessions all together, then choose breakout sessions in smaller groups, hear from two keynote speakers, enjoy two meals together, and at the end of the night you can test your musical knowledge with Rock & Roll Bingo Music Trivia (or chill in the hotel bar).

Music Bingo

We are excited to provide some fun entertainment with a little competition and teamwork for our after hours together with a DJ from Rock & Roll Music Bingo Trivia. Here's how it works:
  • Each person receives a pre-printed bingo card
  • The DJ will play snippets of songs
  • Depending on the theme of the round, you have to identify the movie the song was in, the artist who sings it, or the name of the song in order to know which bingo squares to mark off on your card
  • Try to get a full line on your bingo card to win a prize
It's bingo, so it's sort of a game of luck, and teamwork is encouraged. This is especially helpful if you are not as familiar with certain themes. Multi-generational teams will be the most successful!
We will play four rounds. You can join or leave at any time. The cash bar will stay open in the ballroom for beverages throughout the evening like it's our own private club!
