Welcome to our new page with information about the CNY Rotary Foundation committee. Here is where we will provide helpful information about our grants process, and to facilitate your support of the Rotary International Foundation and it’s programs. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Foundation Chair Don Reese, Utica Rotary, dgreese7150@gmail.com.

On February 7th, we had an awesome turnout at the first Grants Management Seminar for CNY Rotary. We had a total of 89 Rotarians virtually present. The VVS Community Rotary Club led the way with 5 members in attendance. Thirty-one clubs satisfied the qualification requirement of having at least two members present. Another twelve clubs had one member present. Well Done!!!
During the seminar, PDG David Hennel made a great presentation covering all of the new aspects involving District Grants for CNY Rotary in 2024-2025. David is the Chair of the Foundation Subcommittee for District Grants.
We fielded a number of excellent questions and received some really good suggestions. With that in mind, the CNY Rotary Foundation will be meeting soon to discuss some edits to the process and the draft forms. We intend to  have all of these posted here by March 15, 2024. Since some of the edits will result in changing the presentation slides, those will be updated and posted by March 15, 2024 as well.
The Terms and Conditions for Rotary Foundation District Grants and Global Grants is available for review here.  Please feel free to check this out if you have any general questions or issues on grants.
Our next CNY Rotary Grants Management Seminar will be held virtually on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 7:00 pm. If you love this information like we do, we are offering a live Grants Management Seminar at the District Assembly at VVS High School on Saturday, April 6, 2024.  More information will follow on both presentations.
Keep in touch…Best Wishes,
Don Reese, PDG
CNY Rotary Foundation Committee Chair

There are many ways to support the Rotary International Foundation and many reasons why members should consider it for their annual giving.

Since it was founded more than a century ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

What impact can one donation have?

  • For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
  • $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
  • $500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.
