Why We Walk
- One in three older adults dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
- More than 7 million Americans are living with the disease.
- Health and long-term care costs for people living with dementia were projected to reach $409 billion in 2026 and nearly $1 trillion by 2050.
How to Participate
- When you register, choose the CNY Rotary team for this event
- It is free for you to walk in the event, but you are encouraged to fundraise for your team
- Show up the day of the walk to bring your energy to the cause
Search for a CNY team at your local walk or name your team "CNY __________" so others will join you
Brain Health & Wellness is a passion of current CNY Rotary President Pamela, who is a member of our Alzheimers & Dementia Rotary Action Group (ADRAG). Their partnership with the Alzheimer's Association encourages participation of Rotary Clubs in these walks where our fundraising can make a big impact on research, treatment, and progress towards a cure.
