The VVS Community Rotary Club will celebrate its 70th Anniversary with a buffet dinner and dessert at Lakeside Landing on Thursday March 20 at 6 p.m.
The club originally began as the Sherrill Rotary Club before changing its name later to better align with the Vernon Verona Sherrill Community. The club has completed several substantial projects over the last 70 years. Just a few include the construction and reconstruction of the Rotary Shack (concession stand), the founding of the VVS Area Imagination Library, and a reconstruction of the second floor of the Vernon Public Library.
