The Fifth Annual Rubber Duck Race, sponsored by Trumansburg Rotary, will once again take place in downtown Tburg - this year on Saturday, May 10 - at which time 1,500 numbered duckies will enter Frontenac Creek near the Farmer’s Market at 1p.m. and swim a quarter mile to the finish line at the Route 96 bridge (near Gimme Coffee).
The first three to cross the finish line yield cash prizes of $250/$150/$50 for their lucky ticket holders. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20 dollars and can be purchased from your favorite Tburg Rotarian, most weekends at the local ShurSave, or at the finish line the morning of race day (up until half an hour before the start of the race).
Proceeds from this year's race will help fund Cub Scouts Pack 3 and Tburg EMS’ purchase of a new CPR dummy.
This is Mother’s Day weekend and coincides with a village-wide yard sale, so treasures await you in Tburg and, as often said, the event is FUN for children of all ages!
