As spring blossoms across the Capital Region, Schenectady Rotary is planting seeds of opportunity throughout the community with several exciting initiatives aimed at supporting local students, nonprofits, and service programs.
 
$1,500 College Scholarship Application Open Until April 30

Schenectady Rotary is proud to once again offer its annual $1,500 college scholarship to a graduating senior who either attends Schenectady City schools or resides in the city. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2025, and the application can be downloaded at: https://schenectadyrotary.org/high-school-scholarship/

This scholarship reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting the educational dreams of local students.

Grants Available for Schenectady County Nonprofits Through May 1

In addition to supporting students, the Schenectady Rotary Foundation is inviting nonprofit organizations based in Schenectady County to apply for project grants. The application window is open through May 1, 2025, and forms are available at: https://schenectadyrotary.org/rotary-club-of-schenectady-foundation-inc/

These grants are designed to uplift community efforts aligned with Rotary's mission of service above self.

Annual Spring Flower Sale Runs Through May 6

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Schenectady Rotary is hosting its Annual Spring Flower Sale, featuring 10-inch hanging pots or patio pots bursting with colorful flowers or herbs for only $25 each. Proceeds benefit:

  • Schenectady high school scholarships

  • Liberty ARC Horticulture Program

  • Local Rotary service projects
