This fall, the VVS Community Rotary Club invites runners, walkers, families, and community members to join in the Pumpkin Run 5K for Polio on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The event will start at the Sherrill Community Activity Center, 139 E. Hamilton Ave., Sherrill, NY.
With both 5K and 1-mile routes available, the Pumpkin Run is designed for participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or simply want to enjoy a stroll on a crisp autumn morning, this event is all about coming together for a great cause.
Registration is just $15, and every dollar makes a difference. In order to maximize contributions to polio prevention, the race will not be professionally timed—putting the focus on fun, community, and the shared goal of eradicating polio worldwide.
Funds raised through the event will support Rotary International’s global efforts to end polio, particularly through vaccination initiatives that protect children from this life-altering disease. Rotary has been a driving force in the fight against polio for decades, and events like the Pumpkin Run bring communities together to be part of that mission.
“We’re excited to host a family-friendly event that not only promotes health and wellness but also helps make a lasting impact in the fight to end polio,” said event organizers. “Every stride brings us closer to a polio-free world.”
