The Oneonta Rotary Club’s First Annual Cornhole Tournament will be held on Sunday, October 11 at Hartwick College’s Binder Gym. Community members, families, college students and cornhole enthusiasts are invited to gather for a day of friendly competition and fundraising. Teams can register for either the Backyard, College, Social, or Competitive division. The cost/team is $40 except for the Competitive division which is $60. Winning teams receive cash prizes. Admission is free for spectators. Same day registration is 11-12 pm. Bags fly at 12:30 pm.
According to Oneonta Rotary Co-President Adam Stoutenburg, competitors and spectators alike can look forward to a day of fun. “Whether you come to play, to cheer on your favorite team or are just curious about the game, there is something for everyone. Plus, we have a multi-raffle line up including a 50/50 raffle, basket raffle, and a special drawing for a custom-made set of Cornhole boards.”

The tournament is co-hosted by American Glory Cornhole and Hartwick College who provided the use of the gym. Proceeds benefit the many community-based projects supported by the Oneonta Rotary Club such as winter coats for schoolchildren, high school senior scholarships, Rotary Youth Exchange, food drives, grants to local community organizations and more.
