Oneonta Rotarians have been very busy in May and June.
On May 3, Rotarians removed 14 bags of trash from County Highway 48. The Adopt-A-Highway project takes place every spring and fall and is led by Scott Davis.
On May 17, Oneonta Rotary was honored for service to Saturday’s Bread, a program that provides meals to anyone in need. On any week, Rotarians can be found cooking, serving, delivering meals or organizing volunteers.
Cindy Struckle was recognized as a Paul Harris +2 Fellow and Cindy and Carlton Cleveland lead the Hygiene Product Drive for Oneonta Middle School and Laurens Central School.
Rotarians contributed a wide variety of personal care products and made cash donations to support the program.
The club finished out May by marching in the Memorial Day Parade. Finally, Oneonta Rotary celebrated Pass the Gavel (soon to be Inauguration) on June 26 with an evening picnic. Outgoing president Dr. Meghan Sheehy passed the gavel to incoming co-presidents John Maine and PDG Marie Lusins.
Oneonta Rotary is looking forward to 2025-2026 and wish everyone a Happy New Year. Pictured are Marie Lusins, Meghan Sheehy and John Maine.
