Club Comings & Goings

We are sorry to have said goodbye to two clubs so far this year - Granville and Rotterdam Sunrise. We appreciate the many contributions of their members over decades of service to their communities. We invite any of their former members to join nearby clubs.

We welcome our newest and first ever companion club, Albany Mosaic. Their charter was celebrated in December so their new members are not counted in our stats today, but will be part of our growth for the year overall. You can read more about the meaning behind their name, their mission, and how they are strengthening Rotary in the city of Albany here.

Oneida Rotary members have also turned their charter over to CNY Rotary and we will be seeking to restart the club if possible. If you know of anyone in the Oneida area looking to give back to their community, bring Youth Exchange to their school district, gain access to grants through Rotary, or who would be willing to take the lead, please contact us. More efforts will be underway in the new year to promote Rotary in the area and host an info session for any interested parties.

Supporting Membership Growth

Thank you to all who are doing their part in growing our membership, from every member who invites someone to join, to our CNY Membership committee members. We know that creating vibrant clubs that attract and retain members is a complex process requiring great internal communications, a strong public image, engaging service and social events, funding to make an impact, and trusted volunteer leadership to keep these tops spinning. You are not alone in doing this important work and CNY is here to help you. Please reach out to your Area Rep or a CNY Rotary leader that can help your club strengthen any of these areas in order to ultimately grow your membership!
