For all Rotary Club & District Leaders (and all the members who support them):
When I was studying to be a school administrator, I had a professor who gave me the best leadership advice ever. The biggest mistake any leader can make is feeling like they need to know and do everything. Instead, real leaders are those who can gather the right group of people so that everyone can succeed together. The best way to do this is to learn as much as you can and to inspire others to learn as much as they can.
That’s the approach I recommend to all members when it comes to learning about our CNY Rotary ClubRunner tools. These tools are provided to all of our clubs by CNY Rotary (or your club’s) subscription for managing your club's online presence and membership data.
Anyone who has used a computer knows that every software package contains more procedures, tools, and workarounds than any one user could ever know, so my advice to our leaders is to learn as much as you can about the ClubRunner tools at your disposal, and to surround yourself with other users (whether they be in your club, leaders of other clubs, or our CNY Rotary ClubRunner Support Team) so that everyone can succeed together.
Whether managing your club's data and online presence, sending emails or newsletters, or reaching out to solve problems for your club, you need to know enough to know what you don’t know. That is why I strongly recommend you make time to attend, and encourage other club members to attend, any (even if only just one) of the 2025 ClubRunner Changeover Webinars to get ready for the new Rotary year.
The ClubRunner Changeover series can help any Rotarian be in the know. Attending any of these free sessions will help you know more about how to get things done in Rotary and find the most relevant tips, tools, and updates for your club to succeed in the year ahead.
