The Hamilton Rotary Club has been a driving force in enhancing both local and global communities. Two recent initiatives, the Night of Lights and the End Polio Now campaign, highlight the club’s dedication to service.
Night of Lights
At this year’s Night of Lights, Hamilton Rotarians helped create a magical evening of holiday cheer. As families gathered around fire pits, with children playing in the snow and festive music filling the air, Rotarian David Carson remarked, "When you live in a community with a Rotary, your life is better." This simple statement reflects the impact of Rotary’s work—whether it’s organizing community events or supporting local initiatives, the club’s efforts make a lasting difference.
End Polio Now Campaign
The Hamilton Rotary Club also partnered with Hamilton Central Elementary School to raise funds for Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign. From October 24 through November 22, students collected donations in classrooms, learning about Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio. The campaign raised an impressive $534, which was donated to The Rotary Foundation. Mrs.White’s third-grade class raised the most funds, earning an ice cream social at the Colgate Inn as a reward.
A Year of Service
Both the Night of Lights and End Polio Now campaigns exemplify the Hamilton Rotary Club’s commitment to improving lives locally and globally. Whether bringing the community together for holiday celebrations or contributing to the fight against polio, the club continues to make a meaningful impact.
