Registration is open for the 4th Annual Oneonta Rotary Road Rally Scavenger Hunt! This family fun event takes place Sunday, October 19 at Damaschke Field, Neahwa Park, Oneonta from 1-4:30 pm. Teams will follow clues, answer riddles, and stop to take photos while driving along 30 plus miles of country roads in beautiful Otsego County and finish under the wave of the checkered flag.
Teams are judged on a combination of mileage, time, clues answered, and group photos. Proceeds support the work of the Oneonta Rotary Club.
The first three winning teams will win a grant for $1,000, $750, or $500 to be donated in their honor to a not-for-profit food bank or feeding program of their choice located in Otsego, Delaware or Chenango County. Teams wearing costumes or driving decorated cars are eligible for the Spirit Award. Additional prizes and raffle items will also be awarded.
Per person registration cost is $25, 19 and older; $10, 12-18; and under 12, free with payment to be made on race day by cash or check only. Each team must have at least two responsible people: a driver and a navigator. Maximum team size depends on the number of people who can safely fit in the car. To pre-register, go to www.oneontarotary.org. Teams may also register on race day beginning at 12:30 p.m.
