The Deposit Rotary Club sponsors an annual golf tournament in honor of Past District Governor Tommy Tucker.
This is the tournament’s 20th year, with golfers set to tee off on September 14. Tommy was a past president and PDG for District 7170. He passed away in 2005.
The Tournament was originally held at Scott’s Golf Course Oquaga Lake where Tommy caddied back in the early 1930’s. In later years, he and his friends would “walk” the front 9 holes and ride carts for the back 9. This is where the term “Ironman” comes from.
