The Colonie-Guilderland Rotary Club is raising funds to purchase a shelter box in the memory of recently passed Jack Faddegon. In lieu of flowers, Jack's family had requested donations to Shelter Box.
ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter, tools, and essential items to families who have lost their homes due to natural disasters or conflict. Founded in 2000, it delivers aid—often in iconic green boxes—including tents, solar lights, water filters, and blankets to help people rebuild.
Jack and his wife Nancy were instrumental in raising awareness about the Shelter Box program and were recognized by Shelter Box UK as United States National Ambassadors for Shelter Box.
