With a heavy heart, Colonie-Guilderland (C-G) Rotary shares the news of the passing of dear friend and club member Mr. Jack Faddegon. His wife, Nancy, reached out to their club and let them know that he passed on March 10, and he was very peaceful. Jack was 79.
Jack became a Rotarian in 1975. Last year, C-G Rotary had the honor of presenting him with a plaque commemorating his 50 years of Rotary service. Just last week he passed his anniversary date and served a full 51 years in Rotary. He participated in one of our annual club projects as recent as December. Living up to the motto "Service Above Self" he was adamant to be there for his club.
Jack was President of the Latham Club from 1991-1993, and again in the 2014-2015 Rotary years. With the merger of the Latham and Colonie-Guilderland Club, he led the new C-G club again as President in 2015-2016. In the years 2016-2019 ,Jack served the District as Assistant Governor.

He is probably most widely known in Rotary as the main project manager of the Shelter Box Partnership Program. Along with his wife Nancy, the Faddegon Team raised robust awareness and support for the global disaster relief program. Jack and Nancy were recognized by Shelter Box USA as National Ambassadors for their work.
