Welcome back Blazing Trails readers! 🐎🧡 I am excited to announce a resource for our newest members of CNY that our Learning Chair Deb put together with the team at the Rotary International Learning Center just for us. I love anything that feels VIP, and this is definitely a VIP learning opportunity!
The Learning Center is an easy-to-use online tool found at Rotary.org and accessed with your My Rotary account. Don't have one? Anyone can create an account in their first visit and Rotary will recognize you as a member by your email address. The Learning Center can then be found under the Knowledge & Resources tab. Once there, you can search by topic and find learning modules that suit your interest, help you prepare for a specific role, and keep you informed. Every member should be using this fantastic tool!
We have now created a custom module to help with your new member orientation, called the CNY Rotary New Member Basics course. Every member of CNY has been automatically enrolled in this and all future members will be automatically enrolled as well. That means everyone can find it easily by going to My Dashboard in the Learning Center menu.

- Rotary Basics
- Rotary Foundation Basics
- Rotary's Action Plan and You
- The Importance of Eradicating Polio
- Committing to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- The Rotary Brand
These topics will give your new members a great foundation and are ideal for every member to complete (even if you've been around a while!). It will take just over two hours to complete them all and they can be done at your own pace.
Club leaders should share this information with all new members to help get them signed up with My Rotary and on this learning path. All members are encouraged to utilize the Learning Center for these basics and beyond!
