Rotary’s Global Grants fund large, international, humanitarian projects, scholarships for graduate-level academic studies and/or vocational training teams, which are groups of professionals who travel abroad either to learn or teach local professionals about their field.
These projects must be sustainable and measurable, and conform to one or more of Rotary’s areas of focus. The grants subsidize projects that are initiated in collaboration between two clubs and/or districts which are located in two different countries in the world. By working together, real community needs are recognized and addressed.
Global grants range from a minimum budget $30,000 and a maximum of $400,000. The World Fund matches 80% of all District Designated Fund contributions. Cash and direct gifts are not matched.
There is no deadline for the submission of a global grant, however sponsoring clubs and districts must submit their applications by June 30 to the Rotary Foundation for scholars who will begin their studies in August, September of October.
