Empire Multi-District PELS

Empire Multi-District President Elect Learning Seminar, usually referred to as MD PELS (em-dee pells), is the official educational program for all incoming Club Presidents (known as President Elects or PEs).

This program includes a series of monthly, virtual sessions that help cover the nuts and bolts of leading a club called Pre-PELS. These sessions are open to any members who wish to learn more on topics like using ClubRunner, accessing My Rotary, managing club finances, understanding Rotary's insurance and more.

Incoming Club Presidents are also required to complete the Club President Basics in Rotary's Learning Center at rotary.org. The Pre-PELS monthly sessions are synced up with the modules in the Learning Center to help you complete the learning as you go.

It all leads up to this in-person event in Syracuse, featuring inspiring speakers from across the Rotary world and our two districts: Rochester's District 7120 and CNY Rotary. Every club pays for their President Elect to attend, and can send a proxy if their PE is unable to attend or still to be determined.

Every club should be represented at this in-person event to take
valuable information back to their clubs!

The weekend also includes important educational and networking opportunities
for Area Reps, who should plan to attend!
